Mine isn’t touching, but I also swapped out for the Midwest handguard. That Aero gas block should get you what you need. Had I not gotten the gas system ironed out my plan was to pick up a Rifle Speed gas system. Let me know how the Aero gas block works for you. Thanks for watching!

@@jlalbee Ruger tested with the 168 Fed Gold match, but I’m more interested in hunting loads. I think the lightest hunting loads I’ve messed with were 150gr, but not with the new barrel. I plan on circling back to some of those at some point, but the accuracy I’ve had from those loads are plenty for my use. I don’t expect sub MOA out of this… especially not on a regular basis with my me behind the trigger.

​@@ChristianGrestThe model 28 was the first hand I ever fired. Both my Dad and his Dad had 28 No Dash models when I was a kid, both carried them all the time. It's basically a Working Man's model 27. It wasn't quite as refined as the 27, to make it more Affordable for most LEOs of the time period. It's a Great revolver, but the 27's trigger and finish are a little better. When I bought my latest 28-2 you could tell it'd been carried Aot but shot very little. The bluing was all but nonexistent, and the internals were Very dirty and rusty. I replaced all the small springs, the hand, and cleaned and polished EVERYTHING in it with 2k grit sandpaper til they were smooth as glass. It operates Butter Smooth, and reblued it. She's looking pretty good, but I'd like at some point to have it Professional blued. I researched it, and found out it was manufactured the last part of '72.

Absolutely! I think if they hadn’t been trying to do something fairly different, they probably wouldn’t have had so many issues. Sig sadly does the same thing on pretty much everything they put out. Ha! I’ve sent a spring or 2 flying. A rag is a great idea to minimize that. Such a simple tool, but pretty dang helpful. Didn’t know Wheeler made them too.

That’s actually an Accu-Tac rail section I mounted onto the stock. Picked it up at Brownells. If you look at their bipod accessory section, you’ll see it. It comes with 2 types of screws. Item# 100040488

Great point on the twist rate! Have no clue what this one is, but only plan to use lead ball anyways. Those caps were super old and who knows what all environments they had been in during their lifetime. If I was going to hunt, I’d opt for fresh ones no doubt. As for range time, I’ve been in a range time drought recently between summer activities, work and all the rain but plan to get this one back out as well as a .50 cal that belonged to my Grandpa. @@ChristianGrest It will be on rifle. I know several makers Cva was just the importer, so there may be a few different twist rates, which is rifling in barrel. 1:66 generally round ball, 1:38/1:48 provides better stabilization of conical and sabots.

Use my .30 cal cans on 5.56 rifles all the time. Yes I have 5.56 cans as well. If you watched the video, there was an updated regulator to allow lower back pressure cans to function properly. People were using the full open gas setting to get them to cycle and it was damaging the upper. PWS put out this info and offered the fix.

@@ChristianGrest thats was the oss can. Those cans are only useful for guns that cant be easily suppressed, but you sacrifice signature reduction. 95% of the suppressors for 556 are closed design. I dont think the company is in the wrong by appealing to majority of people unless you are kac and just tune their guns to customer setup provided you buy in bulk. Calling it an “issue” is just deceptive. All guns with suppressed setting in mind are designed around a specific kind of suppressor. Scar, 416, sg55x, sr15/6. Suppressors are not supposed to be swapped around. One gun one can just like your optics

@@heinrichfuhrmeister1244 there’s no one size fits all, no doubt. I’d actually like them to come out with an extra gas setting instead of just the 2. Even with same caliber cans there’s different back pressure, so you can have issues with one .30 cal can on a .30 cal but not another. Same with a .30 cal can on a 6.5 or a .45 on any less than that.

I’ve had good luck with the heavier stuff for sure.

The hood was also fitted. I ended up grabbing different sized links later on and matched the size to the fitted link and swapped. Ed Browns instructions specifically stated to open the link up, so if that’s wrong it’s on them. It’s been installed for quite a while and has functioned 100% with a good tight lockup. Not sure what more I could ask? Drop in fit, just not in my case.

I personally don’t think so. I guess it depends on your eyes and what you’re shooting.

@@ChristianGrest I want to do a light barrel one so I can attach the old school bipod I have. Currently I use that on my Car15 clone with it's 4x retro carry handle scope. I'm thinking of getting a binary trigger for my current dissipator since it's a clone of the North Hollywood bank robbery rifle.

I’ll be using more of their stuff in the future. Yea I can’t get enough of this P07. I do love my Shadow 2 Compact, but for the money this thing just rocks! I only wish they offered it with a slide cut.

Unfortunately anything man made can have issues, but it seems more likely today than 10 years ago. Going through a 9 month ordeal with one of my vehicles as well. But safe to say the SFAR bugs have been worked out.

@@KevinWood44 just speaking from my personal experience with them. I haven’t used much of their stuff in the last 4-6 years maybe, but all my old Spikes stuff has been solid to date. Multiple builds for personal collection and others. Haven’t used any of their stuff lately so can’t speak for current quality as things can and do change.

I picked this one up from Brownells.

Have yet to shoot the P10C, but might pick one up. Loving the P07! Man it shoots so good.
